Auckland Airport’s unexpected place for a great meal

An airport hotel might not be the first place you think to go for a delicious Asian meal, but that is exactly what Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport is offering in its newly-opened restaurant and bar, Lunar.

Walking in, my eyes are firstly drawn to the big twinkling ball of light hanging from the ceiling, reminiscent of paper lanterns,, and the calming blue of the walls.

Opening only six weeks ago, Lunar already has tables full of people.

Drawing inspiration from the celestial wonders of ancient China and the modern dining scenes off Singapore and Hong Kong, the 12 dishes, designed to share, are represented by a symbol of the Chinese Zodiac.
